The Panasonic SD-YD250 breadmaker is the only one I’ve owned that bakes good bread consistently. I’ve owned about 4 bread machines. The ones I bought from superstores could not bake good whole wheat bread. The dough did not rise properly. It either rose too high and sank, or never rose much at all. Even the Zojirushi couldn’t bake bread every time. In the 5 years I owned it, I must have thrown away 1/3 of the loaves because they were inedible. In the 2 years since I bought the Panasonic SD-YD250, making 2 loaves a week, only one loaf was a dud. It is an amazing bread machine. I think the yeast dispenser on top has a lot to do with its’ performance. I grind my own hard white wheat in a high-speed impact mill, load the breadmaker according to the recipe book and 5 hours later am eating the most incredible bread that could never be bought in a supermarket.
